U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler said during a recent interview with Jim Hoft with The Gateway Pundit that the future of the country is at stake in Georgia's runoff election.
The St. Louis-based The Gateway Pundit has been reporting on alleged voter irregularities.
Loeffler said voter fraud needs to be investigated and those responsible need to be held accountable. Loeffler is currently in a Senate runoff election.
“This president has fought for us and we fight for him every single day,” Loeffler said.
Loeffler didn’t deny considering supporting the effort to challenge Electoral College votes during the Jan. 6 joint session.
“In regard to Jan. 6, I’ve been very clear, nothing is off the table,” Loeffler said. “I’ve got to make sure I win Jan. 5 first. But we are going to continue to fight for this president.”
Missouri’s U.S. Sen Josh Hawley said he is not ready to call Joe Biden president just yet, but has fallen short of saying he’ll challenge the vote. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has warned against challenging the Electoral College.
Going a bit further, Loeffler said the Senate needs to get to the bottom of the issue now, since there is an active election going on that will determine the future of the country.
The Jan. 5 runoff election will decide control of the Senate.
