The first half of 2021: Home prices in St. Louis increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2021 in St. Louis rose by $10,100 while total sales decreased by 62.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2021, there were 851 homes sold, with a median sale price of $145,000 - a 7.5% increase over the $134,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 2,270 homes sold in St. Louis in the first half of 2020.

The median sales tax in St. Louis for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,300, approximately 0.9% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2021.
